Some of our amazing seniors will be taking their sport to the next level in college. As they taken on their career they will be showing the talent that they have worked so hard on through many years of doing their sport. I took the time to talk to some students on things you might want to know and a little bit about their journey.

How old were you when you started?

How excited are you for college and getting to continue your sport career?
I’m really excited to keep wrestling at the next level but also nervous about being on a new team with new people.
Most importantly, what advice would you give to someone whos trying to go to college and do the same sport you are doing?
One piece of advice is, you have to contact and have conversations with them to get to the next level you have to build a relationship with college coaches.

How excited are you for college and getting to continue your sport career?
It has been a dream of mine to play division one soccer so to be able to achieve that has been very exciting for not only me but my family as well.
Most importantly, what advice would you give to someone whos trying to go to college and do the same sport you are doing?
Don’t worry about what others tell you or think about you, just focus on yourself and being the best you possibly can.

Yes! I’m very excited for college and to continue the sport that I grew up doing.
Most importantly, what advice would you give to someone whos trying to go to college and do the same sport you are doing?
If you want to continue your sport in college, obviously take that into consideration when picking what school you want to go to, and know that its going to be a lot of hard work but if it’s something you really want to do, go for it?!!

I’m very excited to go further into colorguard, to increase my skills and perform all the time!

The advice that i’d give is, don’t be afraid to be yourself and explore your performance style.

I feel like continuing cheer will keep me stronger not only physically but mentally as well.

The advice that i’d give, keep your head held high. Be a leader that stands out not that shuts other down for their own ego or pride.
