Since the start of league play, the Varsity Rams have gone 6-1 (5-1 in league), also out-scoring our opponents 71-22 in that stretch. In the season, we started off slow playing a tough schedule and we went into the league with a record of 1-7 with a top 10 strength of schedule in division 2.
This streak started on April 13th when we mercied Woods Tower 12-0, feeling like we turned the page, We were ready to finish that series but the last two games of that week were postponed due to rain. In the next series, we faced off against rival Marine City. Last year, Marine City made it all the way to the state finals and we were expecting a serious fight. We ended up taking 2 out of 3 winning games 11-4, 6-5, and losing the last one 9-10. We looked like a whole new team and were feeling confident going into a big series against Lake Shore.
