On September 2nd at approximately 4:40 p.m, some students at Lamphere spotted a man setting up what appeared to be a computer station right in front of the hill in civic center outside. The station had a desk, 3 monitors, a red gaming chair, and the PC on the grass next to the desk.
About 20 minutes later a crew came out and started setting up some of their lights and cameras. Then Tee Grizzley came out of his G-Wagon and made his way to the chair. A few students were able to go up to him and take a few pictures. Then right after the pictures he left in his G-Wagon
But why did these students care so much about this man and wanted to take a picture with him? Well he is one of the top rappers in Michigan as of late and released a song that blew up. His first song that really started his career was the first day out. It was very popular on Tik Tok but grew exponentially more after LeBron James posted a video with Tee Grizzley’s song on it. After that hit he didn’t stop releasing and put out songs like “From the D to the A” FT. Lil Yachty, “Blow for blow” FT. J. Cole, and “Loophole” FT. 21 Savage. The artist featured should tell you how massive he is in the music industry, but he also does streams games. He averages 4,300 concurrent views with a peak of 46,000 viewers on May 7, 2021. He also collaborates with streamers like Adin Ross and Kai Cenat.
The big question you might be wondering is “why was Tee Grizzley at Lamphere?” Well some of the students asked the camera crew what Tee Grizzley was doing out here. The crew said that they were shooting a commercial. Now they haven’t said what it was for, perhaps it was just for a product showcase, but using detective reasoning from the evidence gathered, it’s likely they will be doing an in real life (IRL) live stream right in front of the hill. This is still skepticism but it all makes sense. The set up being there, and a camera crew. Additionally, there have been other streamers who’ve done a commercial for IRL streams so look out for his G-Wagon in the near future.
