As the Esports season continues on, Lamphere High freshman, Max Polito, secures a spot and makes it onto state championship. This is an amazing accomplishment for Lamphere! We asked Max to share his experience in esports, including the challenges he has faced, the strategies that have helped him succeed, and what this opportunity means to him. He also gave us a glimpse into how he is preparing for the upcoming states competition and how he’s feeling as he gets ready to represent Lamphere.
Max Polito:
“I didn’t know about it till yesterday but I do enjoy playing in general so I’ve been unintentionally practicing. I’ve still been in contact with a lot of people and I play games with them often too. I love the games I play and I enjoy playing them in general for fun, even though I didn’t know I was going to be participating in state championships. I’ve been working hard and I will make sure to practice even more now! That means I’ll have some early mornings ahead of me.
Esports has been amazing, even though some people aren’t on the team I still connected with them through Esports, I play games with them all the time! The team has amazing chemistry and we get along so well and I feel like that’s one of the main reasons we have made it as far as we have.”
We continue to cheer them along through their journey, and we wish Max the best of luck with state championship! We hope to see him bring home the win for Lamphere Schools in this competition.
