Following our piece on Amelia and Juliette, we are now left with 9 seniors in the Lamphere Theatre Company! As we have so many newcomers in the last year or two, some of the questions asked may vary depending on their time with the company. The company opinion questions will remain the same!
Our next 2 seniors of the company will be Amari Beverly and Leticia Moreno. These two girls can also be seen on our varsity dance team, in various leadership positions across the school, and in/out of building co-op positions.
The questions I asked Amari and her answers to those questions are as follows:

How many shows have you been in with the LTC?
“5 shows”(High School Musical, Radium Girls, Annie, The Wizard of Oz, and Mean Girls Jr.)
Favorite dance number you’ve been in?
“Jitterbug & Revenge Party”
Favorite song you’ve sung on stage?
“Fearless for sure”
What is your favorite part about doing theatre?
“Having fun while acting, and of course singing and dancing with my friends”.
What is your biggest takeaway from your time with the LTC?
“Be yourself and always be confident”.
I also asked some other LTC members some questions about Amari to get a better understanding on her impact on the company. The question I asked was: “What skills and qualities does Amari bring to our productions?”
Amelia Jones

“She is super positive and funny. She shows up ready to work and always puts her best foot forward”.
Maria Smith
“Amari is a star in everything she does. From her astonishing dancing abilities to to her ability to light up every room, Amari is an amazing addition to every production and I love having her as a castmate.”
Malak Saliwa:
“She has so much energy, she’s always smiling and always has a positive attitude that I think just makes everyone enjoy their time in the theatre more”.
I also asked Leticia some questions, those questions and their answers are as follows:
How many shows have you been in with the LTC?
“I’ve been in one previously,(The Wizard of Oz), but Mean Girls Jr. will be my second show!”
Favorite dance number you’ve been in?
“My favorite dance number is “Where Do You Belong” because I really like the kick-line”.
Favorite song that you’ve sung on stage?
“Merry Old Land of Oz” from The Wizard of Oz”
Looking back on your time with the LTC, what do you appreciate the most about your time spent with your cast?
“All of the laughs and fun moments, and putting all of our hard work into the show and seeing it all work out in the end”.
What advice would you give to the underclassmen of the LTC?
“Just have fun, try your best, and just live your best life!”

I lastly interviewed a few other members of the LTC to get a grasp on Leticia’s impact and time spent with the LTC. The question I asked was, “What skills and qualities does Leticia bring to our productions?” The people I asked and their responses are as follows:

“She is really good at hyping people up and making sure that they always feel confident in themselves”.

“She is always positive and helps people out all the time”.

“She is a really good French teacher, she is very bright, positive, and loud in the best way”.

“She has such a bright energy that is contagious to everyone in the show, and she is an amazing dancer and always willing to help anybody when they ask”.
