This weekend I watched the second Five Nights at Freddy’s movie with a few friends and it was pretty good. Of course, critics rated the movie harshly and didn’t like it at all, but most fans did enjoy it. The critics also rated the first movie poorly yet most fans have really enjoyed that first one just like this second one. Some scenes that really stood out to me were all the easter eggs. Not to spoil what happened, but there was a scene with a plush that made that “har har har har” sound which made everyone in my theater laugh, a shadow bonnie scene for a brief moment, and they brought CoryxKenshin as the taxi/cab driver. Something I really didn’t like in the movie was Toy Bonnie’s voice. MatPat, Game Theory, voiced him but it really didn’t sound anything like him. It was very high pitched which surprised me. If you didn’t know who was voicing who it wouldn’t ruin the movie. Also if you go into the movie expecting it to be one to one to the lore then expect to be disappointed, it uses the lore as a springboard and twists it a bit. Another good thing was the gore. Since it’s still a pg-13 movie they couldn’t show anything, but the sound design and music was really good. There was a scene with Mangle, Toy Chica, and a river that was really good. Finally, there were a lot more jumpscares. My brother didn’t really get all that scared from them but I jumped at almost every single one. Overall, I really enjoyed the movie and suggested seeing it with friends and going into it expecting a fun movie. I rate it a 7.8/10.
