On November 12th 2025 a Lamphere student signed to play sports at a college. Evan Landstrom signed his letter of intent to play for the Wisconsin’s Green Bay soccer team which is also d1. While Evan doesn’t play for our Lamphere soccer team, his accomplishment should still be celebrated as it’s very difficult to have the chance to play at the next level. Currently, Wisconsin Green Bay has 9 wins, 7 losses, and 2 ties. They are also ranked 4th in their conference.
I interviewed Evan about how he feels about playing in college, how he feels about moving away, how his last high school season went, what his expectations for himself are, what’s after college, and more.
Q1. How do you feel about playing soccer in college?
A1. “Playing at the college level has always been me biggest dream since I was little”
Q2. How do you feel about moving away from home?
A2. Moving 7 and a half hours away from home wasn’t exactly what I was expecting but I believe this will be the best choice for me”
Q3. When did you first start playing soccer?
A3. “I started playing soccer when I was 2 years old and have loved it ever since”
Q4. How did your last high school season go?
A4. “My last season was good, I ended with 5 goals and 4 assist”
Q5. Why Wisconsin Green Bay over other, closer colleges?
A5. “I decided to choose UW-GB because I was given a really good offer and the coaching staff made me feel at home”
Q6. What are your expectations for yourself in college?
A6. “In my first year I want to push myself to try and get my first start, but always my first goal, and do as much as I can on and off the field for my teammates. And also overall just making new friends and meeting new people”
Q7. Do you have any plans to play soccer after college, professionally?
A7. “I hope to play some sort of pro or semi-pro after college and not extent my career as long as possible”
Obviously Evan has some very inspiring goals in college and he’ll put in the work to make his dreams possible. Once again, congratulations to Evan for taking his academics and athletics to the next level.
