During your senior year here at Lamphere High School, students have the opportunity to participate in co-op for two hours a day. There are many in district co-op opportunities. All four elementary schools have a morning co-op, the middle school has two in the library, two in the main office and one in the counseling office. Here at the high school we have three co-ops in the main office as well as the counseling office and a co-op for our athletic director. There is also a position over at the administrative office. We interviewed a few co-ops that have different positions. First off we interviewed Ella Bennett who works in the media center at Page Middle School. We asked her what her favorite part of co-op has been and if she would recommend it to upcoming students. Ella answered “Yes, I would definitely recommend doing co-op your senior year and my favorite part so far has been helping decorate the office for halloween.” We also interviewed Paige Oltersdorf and Amari Beverly. We asked them both the same questions, what has been your favorite part so far and would you recommend this position to upcoming students? What advice would you give to them? Paige, who works in the main office at Page Middle School said, “my favorite part of co-op has been decorating for Halloween in the office, I would definitely recommend co-op to the upcoming seniors. My only piece of advice would be enjoy going to work everyday because you never know what will happen that day”. Amari, who works in the Lamphere counseling office said, “Being able to create new files for the new students coming to our school has been my favorite part. Yes I would recommend co-op, its time consuming so you have to be focused and you can’t share what you hear about people so you need to keep it to yourself, be nice to everyone you don’t know what they’re going through”.
