For the final senior spotlight of the year I decided to interview the senior who has been writing every senior spotlight this year.
What have you done to pass most of your time at Lamphere? (sports, clubs, ect.)
I have spent most of my time playing sports. I played softball and basketball all four years and golf for three. I have been a part of the Interact club for three years and I have been the secretary of the club for a year. I have also been a part of Link Crew for two years.
What was your favorite class you took at LHS and why?
My favorite class that I have taken at Lamphere is Jewelry. This was my favorite class because I liked the group of kids that I sat with in that class and I also liked creating every piece of jewelry I made.
Which teacher/staff member has influenced you most and how?
The staff member that Influenced me the most is Mrs Crouch. She has been like a second mother to me for as long as I can remember. She is always there for me whenever I need anything no matter what it is. She has also taught me how to be a better person.
What advice do you have for the underclassmen?
Do your work and keep your grades up because your gpa matters. You can do your school work and still have fun so make sure you find that balance.
What advice would you go back and give your younger self?
If I could go back and give myself advice it would be to get more involved and to not be afraid to step outside of my comfort zone.
What was the most memorable event that happened to you during the past few years?
In the past few years the most memorable event that has happened to me was in my freshman year. I was on the Varsity softball team and we ended up winning districts that year. It was so memorable because some of the girls on that team became some of my best friends.
What are your plans for after high school?
After high school I am going to go to Oakland Community College in hopes to become a translator. I would like to become a sports translator.
What inspired you to do a weekly piece on a different senior?
I decided to do a weekly senior spotlight because I wanted to get to know a little bit more about the seniors that attend our school. We made a wheel with every senior on it. Every week we would spin the wheel and write our piece on that person. It was fun to get to know more about the time students have spent at Lamphere High School.
