On April 13th, the Lamphere Tennis Team took the courts.
Varsity had a home game against Hazel Park, and JV had an away game against Centerline. Varsity won 6 matches and lost 2. JV won 5 matches, tied 2, and lost one.
Leticia said, “Some challenges we face is staying defensive and being ready at all times, and we practice real game scenarios, which help a lot. The team is really good, and we all work together to help everyone, it’s such a good dynamic of girls.
Coach Kayla said, “Overall, everyone did amazing. I’m so proud of everyone”. Coach Ruwart said, “Great job to both teams today! I am so proud of this team thus far, and you continue to make me proud every day. Keep up the hard work, it’s paying off!!” She also said, “Love you all and keep up the great work!” The player of the week was Kamilah Muhammad-Gamage. She did an amazing job in her first match.
