Swans are the most beautiful creatures, as they show their beauty and their grace. They often serve as a symbol of love and fidelity due to their entwined necks. They also symbolize their wisdom and include their awakening of the power of self balance, grace, and inner beauty.
Swan’s characteristics:
Large, elegant, long necked, webbed feet, up to having 25,000 feathers, their bills are sensitive, being able to act as underwater feelers to find food.
Habitat- they tend to live in a variety of wetlands, including shallow lakes, ponds, slow moving rivers, marshes, and sheltered coastal bays.
Diet- Swans are primarily herbivores that feed on their aquatic vegetation, which includes pondweed, algae, and eelgrass, which they use on their long necks.

Fun facts about Swans:
1: Being able to sleep on one leg – For being able to conserve their body heat, Swans are able to sleep by standing on one leg on land. Often hiding their heads under their wings.
2: Lifespan – Swans are able to live over 20 years to even 30 years in the wild.
3: Long life partners – They are famous for being monogamous, meaning choosing their partner for life. They are only able to seek a new mate if that swan happens to die.
4: They drink saltwater – Swans possess a special salt gland near their eyes that allows them to excrete salt from their blood, which then enables them being able to drink saltwater.
5: Aggressive defenders – Swans are highly territorial during breeding season and can be viciously protective, with the ability to attack threats, even including humans.
