Diving regionals happened on March 5th, 2026 on a Tuesday. Last year there were around 25 or more divers, this year there were only 14. Last year I was very nervous diving at regionals and that got into my head which made me mess up on 3 of my dives. Messing up that much makes it very hard to make a comeback, especially when after 5 of the 11 dives you get cut for being in the bottom. In order to go to states for d2 . This year I also started poorly, in dead last, I felt the exact dread that I experienced last year. Luckily I was able to clear my mind, relax, and lock in. I was overall pretty disappointed in my performance with my first 5 dives but my last 6 dives felt clean with minor mistakes that brought me to 8th place with 254.05 points. If I dove as well as I did at MAC, I would’ve gotten 6th. Like I already said before, I’m pretty disappointed even though I am heading to states. States happened on March 13th at Eastern Michigan University.
