The second senior that we got the pleasure to interview this week was Hailey Williams.
What have you done to pass most of your time at Lamphere? (sports, clubs, ect.)
I have done Sideline and Competitive Varsity Cheerleading all four years as well as I have played on the Softball team for all four years. I am involved in the Link Crew and ALC. I currently work in the main office as a co-op.
What was your favorite class you took at LHS and why?
My favorite class I took was TV Pro with Mr. Novak Sophomore year. It was my favorite class because I was able to be creative and edit the videos to match my personality. Mr. Novak also made an impact on the class making it such an enjoyable class.
Which teacher/staff member has influenced you most and how?
Mrs. Crouch has influenced me the most because throughout my life she has been a mother figure, mentor and friend. Her personality and the way she carries herself is something I have always looked up to. Never did I think I would be able to work beside her everyday, but I am so thankful for the opportunity.
What advice do you have for the underclassmen?
My biggest advice is to always be yourself. Whether people like you or not you will always love yourself. If you love yourself, outside opinions will never matter. And also get involved.
What advice would you go back and give your younger self?
I would tell myself to enjoy every day more. Take the time to congratulate others and always be kind. I would also tell myself that high school is only the beginning to a bright future so the work is worth it.
What was the most memorable event that happened to you during the past few years?
The most memorable moment was when I was selected out of my junior class to go to Michigan State to be a part of an organization called MyLead. There I learned how to step outside of my comfort zone. And to better my understanding of leadership. I have carried the knowledge I learned throughout my day to day life.
How do you want to be remembered at school?
I want to be remembered by my personality and my willingness to step up.
What are your plans for after high school?
I plan on attending Michigan State University to further my education. I will major in nursing and minor in psychology. The ultimate goal is to become a NICU nurse.
