The end of fall is approaching at the end of this month, so here are some books to help you FALL into an Autumnal mood for the last month of fall. Even though Halloween is over, it is still the fall season and not officially Christmas time just yet, so let’s savor the last few weeks of fall.
The first two books that we are going to be talking about are a part of the romantic genre, and those are the Pumpkin Spice Cafe and the Cinnamon Bun Bookstore. These two books are part of Laurie Gilmor’s Dream Harbor series. In this series, each book takes place in a different month. The Pumpkin Spice Cafe is more of an October book, as the Cinnamon Bun Bookstore is more November however, you can read both of these in November.
Both books take place in Dream Harbor. The Pumpkin Spice Cafe follows a new resident, Jeanie, as she manages her aunt’s cafe and falls in love with Logan, who works on his grandparents’ farm in Dream Harbor and doesn’t come into town very often unless it’s for someone. The cinnamon bun bookstore follows Hazel, the owner of the bookstore, whom we meet a little bit in the Pumpkin Spice Cafe, and she finds a secret of hidden messages written in her books and teams up with Noah, a local fisherman, to solve this puzzle.
A lot of people say, however, that the cinnamon bun bookstore is better than the pumpkin spice cafe, but I would recommend reading both.
The next book I’m going to talk about is Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice by Katie Cicatelli-Kuk. This story’s location is in the town of Briar Glen, in New England, where the main characters, Lucy and Jack, live. Lucy is a 16-year-old girl who needs to help save her mom’s coffee shop when she meets Jack. Jack’s parents run a coffee shop across the street, but they are competitors with Lucy’s family. In the story, Lucy has saved her family’s shop they have to work together to make both businesses successful.
If you like romantic stories, I would highly recommend these books. They are all perfect stories for the autumn season and are all very enjoyable to read and fall in love with.
