Recently, Lamphere’s J.V. and Varsity dance teams have come together for team bonding.

Throughout the years of LHS dance, varsity’s coach, Karra Hurkett, has created the tradition of “Big Sis and Little Sis” between the J.V. and Varsity teams. This is a tradition that pairs the varsity dancers with junior varsity dance team members. The idea is that junior varsity team members feel supported, encouraged, and like they are a part of the big picture of Lamphere Dance.
This year, the tradition was finally brought back for our dance teams. Big Sis/Little Sis creates a good support system for all dancers as it gives everyone an assigned person to rely on and look up to. As members of the J.V. dance team, we feel that this tradition is a helpful way to know you have a specific person to go to whether you need help with a skill, need someone to support you at performances, or simply need someone to talk about practice with.
