Last year, Mrs. Villerot’s English 11 classes used the New York Times, Tiny Memoir Contest for Students: Write a 100-Word Personal Narrative as a writing project. When students were finished crafting their tiny memoirs, they had the option to join the contest. Here is a powerful LHS student piece submitted from that project:
