LHS Athlete Spotlight- Joshua Cox
For this issue of the LHS Athlete Spotlight, we selected Josh Cox. Josh Cox is a senior member of our Boys Soccer Team. In one of their recent games against Warren Woods Tower, he scored a whopping 4 total goals for our Varsity Rams. When we asked him about this phenomenal performance and how he was able to achieve it, he answered “ We effectively worked as a unit in order to win the game.” A very humble response for such a great stat line. We followed up with his expectations for the remainder of their season and he said, “ I see a lot of potential, but with a new coach and new players, managing that is half the battle.” Recently, the soccer team has switched up their coaching staff and has employed the Girls Soccer coach, Mrs. Vickers, as their head coach. Along with the new head coach, Josh talks about how the incoming freshman has impacted the team and created a complete change in their usual rotation. On top of being a star player for the Varsity Soccer team, Josh is also a member of the recently formed joint hockey team “Bishop Foley United” with more than three schools making up its roster. We asked him what his aspirations were for the 3rd official season since the team’s creation. He told us that “ I just want to enjoy this season and hope to grow as well as win more games. “ We wish Josh good luck for the rest of his seasons, as a Hockey and Soccer athlete, and we would like to thank you for reading this issue of the LHS Athlete Spotlight.
